Muscat: Dr. Aiman Al Salmi, a plastic surgeon at Khoula Hospital, embarked on his mission to Gaza on February 19, 2024, traversing the Rafah border with the coordination of international organizations. Despite the risks, Dr Al Salmi remained undeterred, driven by a profound sense of duty and empathy towards those affected by the ongoing crisis.
During his time in Gaza, Dr. Al Salmi performed numerous surgical operations on the injured, with his daily workload exceeding 10 surgeries. Through his official social media account, he provided glimpses into the humanitarian conditions faced by the people of Gaza, shedding light on their resilience amid adversity.
Upon his return, Dr. Al Salmi expressed gratitude for the support and prayers he received throughout his mission, emphasizing the collective effort in providing aid to Gaza. He assured donors that the aid sent for the people of Gaza had been distributed, invoking blessings upon those who contributed to the cause.
