Muscat – As per the requirements, the Ministry specifies the following vaccines for pilgrims:
• One dose of the Meningococcal conjugate vaccine (ACYW135) to help safeguard against the complications of meningitis. This vaccine provides five-year protection. People who have previously taken the vaccine and can provide proof of it are not required to take the vaccine again unless it has been more than five years since their last dose.
• Vaccinated with a single dose of the seasonal flu vaccine can protect against complications and provide immunity.
• The Quadric-vaccination against Meningococcal conjugate Vaccine (ACYW135)
• Seasonal flu vaccine
“MOH urges all prospective Hajj pilgrims to receive vaccinations at least ten days before their travel The above requirements are considered a prerequisite to entering the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to prevent the spread of infection and safeguard public health,” MOH stated.
