CPA settle dispute, consumer in Oman gets over RO18,000 from auto showroom

The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) in Oman has announced a cordial settlement following a dispute between an auto showroom and a consumer.

MUSCAT : The dispute arose after the consumer, who had purchased a 4WD vehicle from the dealer, discovered that the engine had been previously replaced; a detail that was not disclosed at the time of sale.

As per the settlement facilitated by the CPA, the showroom agreed to reclaim the vehicle in question and reimburse the full purchase amount to the customer, totaling RO 18,300.
