Carol & The End of the World (Netflix)
If the world was ending in a few months, how would you make the most of your precious time? Would you go wild and do the craziest thing you wouldn’t have dared to imagine, or would you join the most mundane job to pass the time and distract yourself from ultimate doom?
This quirky, animated series is a look into what the future could be, with a transportive yet mundane look into the life of Carol, who is having an existential crisis, quite literally! With many healthy satire and psychological questions thrown out into the open, this quirky series asks humane questions with a pinch of dark humour.

Expats (Amazon Prime)
Did you know that about 184 million people, which is 2.3 per cent of the world’s population, live outside of their country of nationality? Oman, too, is filled with stories of expats from various nationalities. So, what are the challenges faced by an expat? How do they navigate the buzz of a new city/country? This mini-series tackles some vital points.
When personal and professional lives get twisted into a mesh of cultural diversity, a group of expats living in Hong Kong question the effects of grief and family life. Actors like Nicole Kidman, Sarayu Blue, and Ji-young Yoo give convincing performances to keep the viewers hooked on expats’ beautiful and thought-provoking lives. Although not a relatable set of sequences for most expats, this series still gives you a glimpse into the world of cultural diversity and finding your way back home in a world away from home.
