MUSCAT : The state of Ibri bore the brunt of the downpour, experiencing rains of varying intensities at dawn. Consequently, several valleys, including Bilad Al-Shahoum, Al-Hijr, and Wadi Al-Shuwai’i, along with numerous reefs, succumbed to the force of the rushing waters.
Meanwhile, Dhank found itself inundated by the relentless rain, with villages throughout the state witnessing varying intensities of precipitation. The swelling waters breached the confines of valleys such as Wadi Qumaira, Al-Aqiba, and Wadi Al-Samar, exacerbating the situation and compounding the challenges faced by residents.
In Yanqul, heavy rainfall pounded the villages, triggering widespread flooding in multiple valleys, including Al-Waqba, Al-Ma’aden, and Wadi Al-Harem. The overflow also affected Biha, Wadi Al-Arshi, and Lamli, alongside other valleys such as Hail Al-Khanabsha, Wadi Jebbi, and Haqala, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake.
