MUSCAT: During the heavy thundershowers in the early noon hours of Thursday, February 29, a striking visual of lightning illuminating the skyline was widely circulated on social media, with several people voicing their concerns about potential damages at the site.
Allaying those fears, in an interview with a local radio channel, Major Mohammed Al Hashami, Director of Royal Oman Police’s Public Relations Department categorically stated that the ROP had not received any report of damages related to the lightning that struck a site in Azaiba.
