MUSCAT : Muscat CT trump Yalla Shabab in a low-scoring thriller in the Premier Division League 2023-24 powered by Muscat Pharmacy LLC at the Oman Cricket Academy Turf 1 on Saturday.
Bilal Khan and Kaleemullah exploited the conditions to their favour picking four Muscat CT batsman out for just nine runs on board. Shoaib Khan and Suraj Kumar tried stitching a partnership but were out scoring 26 respectively. Muscat CT posted a paltry 111 on board. Bilal Khan and Mujibur Ali picked 3 wickets each. In response, Afriedh KT and Samay Shrivastav wreaked havoc in the Yalla Shabab camp bundling them for a mere 67. Mohd Naseem scored a quick 22 while Afriedh KT and Samay Shrivastav claimed 4 wickets each. Muscat CT remain unbeaten in the league so far in their 5 matches.

In a match on Friday, AER beat Orient Travels in the A Division League 2023-24 powered by Khimji Ramdas LLC at the Oman Cricket Academy Turf 2.
AER got off to a timid start losing five wickets within the first session of the game. Syed Amir Ali’s blistering run-a-ball 113 ensured AER get to an above-par total of 233 on the board. Ibrar Hussain picked 5 wickets. In response, Sajith Fernando and Ibrar Hussain looked to dominate AER’s bowling attack, but couldn’t take the team through falling short by 57 runs. Syed Amir Ali, Muhd Ihtesham and Amandeep Singh picked two wickets while Akbar Ali claimed 3 scalps. AER registered their 3rd win of the league and have saved themselves from relegation.
