MUSCAT : 11 Indian nationals were rescued after a cargo ship they were travelling caught fire in the territorial waters of the Sultanate of Oman off the coast of the Hasik Niyabat in the Dhofar Governorate.
In a statement issued, Royal Oman Police said the ship loaded with goods was heading to the Republic of Somalia.
“Its crew, consisting of 11 people of Indian nationals were evacuated by citizens. All of them are in good health. One of them sustained a minor injury and was transported to receive the necessary treatment,” ROP added.
