Kohrra (Netflix)

A NRI bridegroom is found dead somewhere on the outskirts of Punjab, and two officers have now been sucked into the middle of this investigation while they tackle their personal demons. This Punjabi thriller series is a refreshing watch for thriller fans who have seen it all in the thriller genre. Director Randeep Jha expertly tackles sensitive topics like ‘drug abuse’ and ‘mental health’, all prevalent in our society. The story is a gripping tale that will make you empathise with the main protagonist, Balbir Singh and his pursuit to solve the case while patching the pieces of his broken family. The show gives the viewer different angles to observe the case and develops the character arcs for each, giving us a reason to watch how the story unfolds.

Gen V (Amazon Prime)

From the twisted minds of the creators of ‘The Boys’, we are sucked back into the insanity that left us wanting more when the season 3 of ‘The Boys’ ended. Eric Kripke has returned to the source material of ‘The Boys Volume 4’ comic to shape the series. We are sucked right into the insanity of the story written by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, where we follow the first generation of superheroes and their conquest at Godolkin University. And just like ‘The Boys’, expect unabashed brutality and humour that will have you giggling based on your tolerance for dark humour. Performances from Jaz Sinclair and Chance Perdomo were on point as they wielded the characters that were once just sketches. Brace yourself for some cameos that perfectly set up the next iteration in the ‘The Boys’ franchise.
