A seasoned diplomat with an extensive background in international affairs, Ambassador Amit Narang is expected to provide a comprehensive overview of the evolving dynamics between India and Oman. The strategic partnership between the two nations has witnessed significant growth in recent years, encompassing economic relations, cultural exchanges, and diplomatic initiatives.

It is pertinent to highlight here that Amit Narang assumed charge as Ambassador of India to the Sultanate of Oman on October 24, 2021; prior to this appointment he headed the Indian Ocean Region (IOR) Division of India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), handling India’s bilateral relations with its key maritime neighbors. He has served as the Chief Vigilance Officer of the MEA and was also in charge of India’s consular and visa policy, dealing with interventions aimed at the welfare of overseas Indian diaspora.
Ambassador Narang is a member of the Indian Foreign Service (IFS) since 2001 and started his career in the MEA with a stint in the External Publicity Division, dealing with Indian and foreign media. He has a rich experience in multilateral diplomacy.
The Arabian Stories Conclave, which has gained recognition as a platform for fostering dialogue on important local, regional and global issues, will serve as an ideal setting for the talk from Indian Ambassador.
