Muscat: The Ministry of Health announced the opening of the Department under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Saeed Al Lamki, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Health Affairs. It affirmed that the expansion came as a step to improve the level of services provided in the department in terms of quality.
The obstetrics and gynecology ward includes an emergency gynecology and obstetrics department with four beds and an examination room, while the maternity hall, in its first phase includes four beds and a room designated for labour induction with two beds.


It also includes 10 rooms for the final stage of postpartum care, along with a pregnancy ward featuring 16 beds. Additionally, it comprises 36 beds in the postpartum ward, 30 beds in the obstetrics and gynecology ward, three operating rooms, and a two-bed recovery room.
