LONDON : The ceremony recognized international media professionals and institutions, honouring two prestigious awards in Oman’s name: The Best Newspaper Story of the Year Award presented to Birgitte Maas from the Deutsche Welle Network and the Journalist of the Year Award bestowed upon Robin Barnwell from the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). During the ceremony, Her Majesty Queen Camilla acknowledged the pivotal role of media across diverse spheres and highlighted the significance of women’s representation in the media landscape. Dagmer Selland, President of the Foreign Press Association, emphasized the necessity of collaboration between the Association and Oman in media and journalistic domains.
