MUSCAT : The fish farming industry stands as a cornerstone in Oman’s realm of fish wealth. Categorized into two primary segments, the fish farming landscape in the Sultanate is divided into Integrated Fish Farming Projects, totalling approximately 28 projects, and Commercial Fish Farming Projects, comprising around 16 projects.
The production spectrum focused on three pivotal types, namely Gopher, Shrimp, and Tilapia fish, underscoring the sector’s diverse and thriving output. This exponential growth signifies a substantial leap in Oman’s aquaculture domain, signalling promising prospects for the country’s fish farming industry.
