MUSCAT: Two suspects wanted in a criminal case died following a road accident in Salalah on Thursday.
In a statement issued, Royal Oman Police said the two people were trying to escape from the police and they were driving their vehicle “in the opposite direction of traffic”, which led them collide with a police vehicle.
“Two citizens died in Wilayat of Salalah after escaping and colliding with a police vehicle during an attempt to stop them on suspicion of a criminal case. Procedures for collecting evidence and investigating the incident are being completed in coordination with the Public Prosecution,” ROP added.
