MUSCAT: Honey production in the Sultanate witnessed a decline in 2022 to 533,701 kilograms, compared to 947,841 kilograms in 2021, according to data released in the statistical yearbook issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information.
The highest production in 2022 was recorded in North and South Al Sharqiyah with 147,088 kilograms, followed by the governorates of North and South Al Batinah with 131,269 kilograms. Al Dakhiliyah Governorate came third with 126,470 kilograms. The total production of these governorates accounted to 75.8 percent.
