Khareef 2023 season records over 34% growth in air passengers

Salalah Airport recorded a 29% increase in air traffic and 34.4% growth in passengers during this year’s Khareef Dhofar season.

MUSCAT : Air traffic at the airport grew during the months of July and August, reaching to about 3,168 flights, compared to 2,455 flights in the same period in 2022.

Salalah Airport also witnessed over 34 percent increase in the number of passengers, reaching 471,911 passengers during the months of July and August this year, compared to 351,109 passengers in the same period in 2023.

Currently, 10 Gulf and Asian airlines operate direct flights to Salalah Airport from cities in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, Calicut and Cochin airports in the Republic of India, and Lahore Airport in Pakistan.
