Oman’s CPA seizes more than 460 packs of banned tobacco

The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) seized more than 460 packages and bags of chewed ‘smokeless’ tobacco from expatriates workers employed at a number of shops in the Wilayat of Baushar in Muscat.

MUSCAT : The CPA stated that its team spotted the violators and confiscated the banned items.


A fine of OMR 3200 was imposed on the violators and legal action undertaken for other violations.
