MUSCAT : An expatriate worker died on Wednesday after a building under construction collapsed in Wilayat of Ibri in Al Dhahirah Governorate.
In a statement issued, the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) said the team rescued another worker during the incident.
“The Authority’s teams at the Civil Defence and Ambulance Department in Al Dhahirah Governorate dealt with an accident involving construction materials collapsing on workers at a building under construction in the Wilayat of Ibri. The teams were able to rescue a worker, provide emergency medical care and take him to the hospital, with moderate injuries, and pull the other worker out of the rubble, who unfortunately lost his life,” CDAA added.
