Muscat – Her Excellency Dr. Rahma bint Ibrahim Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, issued Ministerial Resolution No. 76/2020 amending some provisions of Ministerial Resolution No. 39/2023 to stop decisions on applications pertaining to licenses to establish private training institutions.
The decision stipulates replacing the text of Article One of the Ministerial Resolution No. 39/2023 with the following text: “Decision on applications for licensing the establishment of private training institutions shall be suspended until December 31, 2023.”
The decision is based on the system of the administrative apparatus issued by Royal Decree No. 75/2020 and Royal Decree No. 98/2020 amending the name of the Ministry of Higher Education to the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, defining its terms of reference and approving its organizational structure, and the regulation for organizing private training issued by Ministerial Resolution No. 40/2021 and Ministerial Resolution No. 39/2023 to stop deciding on applications for licensing the establishment of private training institutions.
