Muscat – A specialized medical team from Khoula Hospital, led by Dr. Sultan Al Kalbani, Head of the Spine Unit at Khoula Hospital, in cooperation with the Department of Orthopedics at Nizwa Hospital, responded to a surgical intervention for a patient who had complex fractures in the spine and a rupture of the spinal cord following a traffic accident.
The patient’s condition necessitated a surgical operation by a specialized team from Khoula Hospital, during which the patient’s complex fractures were stabilized and treated. The operation was successful, with the patient’s health condition remaining stable.
It is worth noting that conducting such operations reinforces the policy of decentralization pursued by the Ministry of Health by providing health services stationed in the Governorate of Muscat and distributing them to the governorates.
