Muscat: The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources(MAFWR) has announced the start of the 2023 shrimp fishing season, which begins in September and ends in November every year.
The only permitted fishing method is by using a type of net known as the ‘ghaddaf’. The use of any other fishing methods is a violation of the Living Aquatic Wealth Law and its executive regulations.
