Muscat – The ROP, in a notice published online, stated that “the permanent special light driving license shall be withdrawn if any of the specified regulations are found to be absent.”
Conditions for obtaining the permanent driving license are as follows:
• The applicant for the license must be an Omani who does not drive vehicles
• A period of no less than 15 years must have passed since obtaining the driver’s license
• The applicant should be free from any medical restrictions (disabilities), with the exception of medical lenses and glasses
• Traffic record must be free from violations of the first category, during the 3 years preceding the submission of the license application
• The permanent special light driving license cannot be combined with a driving license from other categories.
