MUSCAT – The In-Country Value Steering Committee in the energy and water sectors held its first meeting, chaired by His Excellency Dr. Mansour bin Talib Al-Hinai, the Chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Authority and Chairman of the In-Country Value Steering Committee. The meeting was held in the presence of CEOs of the regulated sectors, and representatives of policy-makers in the energy and water sectors. The ICV aims to achieve equal opportunities for the society as well as small and medium enterprises, contribute to maximizing the desired benefits from serving the target groups, and achieve comprehensive provision of these services in all the Governorates.
The meeting reviewed the strategic plan for the ICV program and a presentation was made on the current and future programs that the participating sectors are working on in this field. The meeting also discussed the plans to develop these programmes, along with the governance and organization of the ICV.
