MUSCAT : The Panamanian-registered Fremantle Highway, a carrier vessel, went up in flames on Tuesday night off the Dutch coast. The fire has claimed the life of an Indian crew member and has resulted in the injury of seven others.
The vessel was carrying 3783 vehicles, including 498 electric cars. These electric cars use EV lithium-ion batteries that burn with twice the energy of a normal fire, making this an almost uncontrollable fire.
