MUSCAT : The new Oman Labour Law stipulates that the licensing for recruitment of expat workers will be permitted only if there is “no Omani individual who has the required educational qualifications or experience.”
The employer needs to be committed to the Omanisation policy and its approved percentage to recruit expat workers with qualifications, experience or necessary skills.
Conditions for licensing work for expatriates also include passing the professional standards test for practicing specified professions, entering the Sultanate of Oman in a legal way; being healthy and free from diseases and contract with an employer who has the necessary licenses.
