MUSCAT : The Indian Embassy in Oman has issued a notice warning Indian citizens in Oman against fraudulent phone calls in the name of the Embassy. Apparently, these fraudulent calls claim to be from the Embassy of India and ask for payments citing alleged problems in documentation.
The Embassy advises everyone not to share personal details over such calls or make payments without confirmation, as the Indian Embassy does not ask for such payments. In case one receives a fraudulent call, one should immediately report it to the Embassy via this email ID: inf.muscat@mea.gov.in
