MUSCAT : Omani diplomatic missions accredited abroad, their families and a number of employees working in Omani embassies, visited hospitals in accreditation countries for voluntary blood donation, in a humanitarian initiative that goes beyond the well-known diplomatic roles of diplomatic missions and embassies abroad.

Omani diplomats and employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also donated blood during a medical visit by the specialized team at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital.
“This humanitarian initiative comes to enhance awareness of the importance of blood donation as an important humanitarian act to help meet the growing demand for sufficient amounts of blood in hospitals and medical centers around the world. It reflects the culture of benevolent Omani society, and their sincere belief in the importance of this humanitarian work,” stated a press note from the Foreign Affairs Ministry.
