MUSCAT : “The Royal Navy of Oman carried out a rescue operation in the Wilayat of Sur in the Governorate of South Al Sharqiyah, of a wooden ship of the type ‘Al Boom’ passing in the Arabian Sea, after receiving a report stating that the ship had suffered a technical malfunction,” stated the Ministry of Defence.
The RNO found the ship 22 nautical miles northeast of Ras Al Hadd in Al Sharqiyah South Governorate, and it was towed by one of the Royal Navy of Oman ships to the port of Sur.
