MUSCAT – The Ministry carried out 804 inspection campaigns in the Muscat Governorate during the month of May 2023 and deported 990 workers for violating the Labour Laws. Of the 1,139 workers who were arrested, 210 were occupying Omanized professions, which is a violation of Article 113 of the Labour Law; 291 worked for someone other than the employer, 612 were self-employed (violation of Article 114), and 26 were employed in professions other than the ones they were authorized to do (violation of Article 115).
