MUSCAT – H.E. Abdullah bin Nasser Al Rahbi, Ambassador of Oman to Egypt and its permanent representative to the Arab League, affirmed that the official visit of His Majesty to Egypt on Sunday, May 21, and his meeting with H.E. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of Egypt, opens a new chapter and represents a start to continue and develop initiatives for mutual benefits.

At a press conference held in Cairo on the occasion of the official visit of His Majesty, Oman’s Ambassador to Egypt said that a high-ranking official delegation is accompanying His Majesty, especially on the economic side, as the two countries seek to advance the economic, commercial and investment fields to broader horizons and increase the volume of trade exchange. He explained that the visit will lead to the formation of the Omani-Egyptian Business Forum, which will present investment potentials available in the Sultanate of Oman, in addition to the legislation, regulations and infrastructure that attract investments, including renewable energy and green hydrogen.

He also indicated that that the two countries are expected to sign a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding, including those supporting the economic sector, which will add to the existing memorandums, agreements, executive programs and letters of cooperation signed during the visit of the Egyptian President to the Sultanate of Oman in June 2022. He further highlighted the common principles in the foreign policy of Oman and Egypt, and their keenness to support everything that would serve Arab causes.
