MUSCAT : The Office of the State Council discussed the importance of controls related to draft laws and highlighted the need to refrain from publishing information related to them. The Office of the State Council pointed out the necessity of maintaining discretion with regards to draft laws referred to it by the government, as they are still under study, according to the rules and directives in place. Chaired by H.E. Sheikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah Al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council, the meeting discussed controls related to proposals for draft laws submitted by the Oman Council representation system in regional and international forums.

The meeting also discussed the rules and procedures governing joint sessions between the State and Shura Councils, the controls for proposals for draft laws submitted by the Council of Oman, and the system of representation in regional and international forums. The Office of the Council also reviewed several reports and proposals submitted by the members. His Excellency praised the continuous efforts of members who are strengthening the legislative movement, keeping pace with various developments, and responding to the comprehensive national development in the country.
