Oman’s Tender Board approves Dibba-Khasab-Lima road project worth over OMR 151 million

The Tender Board awarded a project worth OMR 151,884,537, for the design and implementation of a one-lane asphalt road between Khasab and Dibba and the road linking Lima Wilayat in the Musandam Governorate

MUSCAT – The Secretariat General of the Tender Board, at a meeting held on Tuesday, awarded additional projects and works complementary to development projects in various fields, with a total value of OMR 177,524,802. The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology stated that the Dibba-Khasab road project and the road linking the Lima Wilayat, which was assigned by the Tender Board, would achieve, when completed, a qualitative leap in the Governorate and wilayats of Musandam, and a basic support for enhancing economic, commercial and tourism development and urban expansion in the governorate. The road contributes to the ease and flow of traffic between the wilayats, the Ministry noted.


The Tender Board, headed by H.E. Said bin Mohammad Al Saqri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of the Tender Board, held its third meeting for this year, during which it awarded projects worth OMR 177,524,802, including a project to implement asphalt roads in the state of Muqshin in Dhofar Governorate, and a project to maintain asphalt roads in Buraimi Governorate for a period of 5 years.
