MUSCAT : The Ministry issued a statement to condemn the storming of the Palestinian city of Nablus in the West Bank, and expressed its deep condemnation of the unjustified escalation, which is a clear violation of international law, Security Council resolutions and international legitimacy.
“The Sultanate of Oman appeals to the international community to take deterrent measures against Israel to stop its continued aggression against the Palestinian people, stressing the resolutions of international legitimacy and the firm Omani positions towards the Palestinian cause, calling for Israel’s withdrawal from the occupied Palestinian territories to the 1967 borders and enabling the Palestinian people to establish their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital, according to the principle of the two-state solution and the Arab peace initiative,” said the Ministry statement.
