MUSCAT: The statement from the Municipal Council reads as follows: “The Municipal Council of the Governorate of Muscat confirms that efforts to regulate the use of residential buildings for commercial purposes with the competent authorities are based on identifying important commercial activities, in terms of the nature of their work and in accordance with the municipal requirements regulating them.
“With regard to the 18th of November Street in the Wilayat of Bausher, the permit to practice commercial activities on it is still valid, and the reassessment of the status of residential streets for commercial use at the level of Muscat Governorate is currently being studied according to developments in the economic situation.”
