MUSCAT – The Ministry is inviting importers and manufacturers of low-voltage electrical appliances and equipment and importers of children’s toys, whose products require the Gulf Conformity Mark certification, to benefit from the pre-registration service. As per the ‘Announcement No. 2/2023’, the Ministry, based on the keenness of its Directorate General for Specifications and Measurements to provide technical solutions that facilitate import procedures and release restricted products, is calling on importers to avail the service and link their data with certificates of conformity issued for their products, so as to avoid any administrative procedures that may affect them. The certificates are issued via the Gulf Standardization Organization website – https://bit.ly/40cqek.
