Report on Oman’s ‘Digital Innovation Profile’

The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, in cooperation with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), has released a report on Oman’s ‘Digital Innovation Profile’

MUSCAT – ‘This Digital Innovation Profile aims to accurately assess the country’s digital ecosystem capacity and maturity to help Oman and its stakeholders navigate the digital innovation landscape. The aim is to help Oman to continue building new capabilities for a competitive, sustainable, and ICT-enabled economy that accelerates the development of the digital economy toward achieving Oman’s vision,’ states ITU, the UN specialized agency for ICTs.
The profile unlocks Oman’s digital potential; it provides valuable insights into the current state of the country’s digital landscape, and offers strategies for sustainable digital transformation.


The report titled ‘Digital Innovation Profile: Oman’, shares Oman’s ‘Digital innovation ecosystem: Strategies and recommendations for accelerating digital transformation.’ It includes evaluation of the possible environment for digital innovation in the Sultanate of Oman and the most important challenges and opportunities for developing digital innovation; it also highlights strategic priorities and recommendations and the importance of developing the road map for technical innovation, as well as international best practices and experiences.


It also covers the initiatives that the Ministry is working to implement in cooperation with various relevant authorities in order to achieve the objectives of the National Program for the Digital Economy and Oman Vision 2040. The study will be available on the website of the International Telecommunication Union and the Arab Regional Office and will shared with relevant stakeholders for easy access.
