MUSCAT: With the aim of accelerating delivery of services and facilitating conduct of commercial activities, the Ministry of Commerce Industry and Investment Promotion has announced that the authority to issue commercial signs has been transferred from the municipalities sector to the Invest Easy portal, beginning from tomorrow.
The Ministry has merged it within the service of submitting requests for licenses to practice economic activities.
The service will have a single fee of OMR 15, to be paid once upon submission of the application. Further, to simplify the service, the annual renewal service for the commercial sign permit has been cancelled, as well as the fee for the area of signs that exceed 3 meters have been cancelled.
