MUSCAT: Oman’s star player Mohammed Al-Musalami has announced his retirement from international football on Sunday at the age of 32.
“After years of giving, appreciating and being proud of representing my national team, I feel this is the right time to retire from international football,” Al Musalami wrote on his instagram handle.
Musalami who made his debut for Oman in 2010 had represented the country 82 times, while he also represented local clubs Saham, Al Shabab, Fanja, Al Jazir, Dhofar, Al Gharafa and currently plays for Seeb Club in the domestic league. He last played for Oman during the Gulf Cup in January.
