MUSCAT– The forum, held under the auspices of Sayyid Mohammed Sultan al Busaidi, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, is part of the activities scheduled under the ‘Arab Consumer Protection Week’. The forum on ‘Small consumer’ aims to shed light on the reality of legislations related to the small consumer, and to benefit from the local and international experiences in the field of developing the Authority’s services towards this category of consumers.

The phrase ‘small consumer’ has been used to reflect the event theme, which portrays the significance of this segment of consumers who constitute an integral part of the consumer community and deserve due exposure.
The forum also aims at securing sustainable consumption, revealing the role of the media and its impact in raising the awareness about small consumer issues in the Arab world and benefiting from local and international experiences in developing consumer protection services for this segment.
