MUSCAT – Adapted from ‘Ernest’, a short story by Geoff Manaugh, ‘We Have a Ghost’ revolves around a black family of four who move into a large house with a surprisingly low property value, only to realize it is haunted by the ghost of Ernest. However, Ernest is not your regular Valak or Bathsheba from the Conjuring universe, rather, he has a certain melancholy about him. Ernest is a rather lonely poltergeist who has no way of communicating with the world of the living other than his antics. But he soon finds a friend in Kevin, the youngest son of the Presley family, i.e. the ones who have just moved into his house. The introvert Kevin and the poltergeist Ernest both feel somewhat unheard in their life, and quickly bond over their nature, blurring the river of death that separates them, although they first meet when Ernest tries to scare the teenager with his antics and instead ends up cheering him up.

However, things take a hard pivot when Frank, the father, decides to make their otherworldly discovery public, piquing the interest of an ex-CIA officer. 

With David Harbour as Ernest, and Anthony Mackie as the family patriarch, We Have A Ghost features a brilliant ensemble who deliver a power-packed performance, overall making this latest horror-comedy a must watch!
