MUSCAT – H.E. Dr. Hilal bin Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health stated that the Central Public Health Laboratory, to be established with international standards, will become a distinguished reference laboratory in providing the most accurate and up-to-date diagnostic analysis, so as to support disease control programs and epidemiological investigation at the local and regional levels.
He also pointed out that the public health laboratory in the Sultanate enjoys a good reputation, as the existing laboratory is currently a regional reference for many advanced examinations for the countries of the region. The existing center has conducted 242,267 different laboratory examinations until the end of last year, he added.
