MUSCAT: Knowledge Oman is all set to organize its up-coming public seminar on ‘The impact of Social Media on the Omani community’ at Muscat University in Al Ghubra from 6:30-9 pm on February 15, 2023. The public free event will be graced by Sayyid Khalid Al Busaidi, Chairman of Sabco Group.
“We have received lots of positive response from the society on our last seminar that revolved around Women contribution in the society. This time, our public seminar will focus on the impact of social media in the Omani community, and we are proud to host Sayyid Khalid as the guest of honor for this event” said Balqees Al Hassani, Knowledge Oman President.
The ‘Impact on Social Media in Omani Community’ seminar will include a diverse panel of thought leaders, IT experts, sport professionals and educators , to address topics such as social media trends, the impact of technology on changing business and social networking, the use of social media within sports and how it has changed the face of media. The event aims to equip the public with an understanding of different social media tools and platforms and their impact on society, business and the economy – recognizing that the interconnected nature of social media and online communities benefits the fields of marketing, finance and IT, and forms the foundation of the digital economy.

According to Oman Vision 2040, the contribution of Oman’s digital economy to the GDP is aimed at 10% in 2040.
