MUSCAT : Held over 17 days, in 4 locations, the long-anticipated Muscat Nights festival has reached its last day, with artists Omar Al Abdallat and Khaled Abdel Rahman scheduled to perform at the Oman Automobile Association (OAA) venue.
Apart from a few minor hiccups in traffic and some due to the weather, overall, the Muscat Nights festival made a glorious return and became an event to be remembered. From laser shows and carnivals to food carts from noted restaurants, it seems the event livened up the entire Sultanate. Al Qurum park received around 50000 visitors daily during the festival, mainly due to its low entry fees and its accessible location. The OAA venue saw a major turnout of kids and young adults because of the motor shows and online games. Overall, officials can expect a total turnout of around 500000 visitors over the tenure of the whole festival.
