MUSCAT : Organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, in partnership with Sabco Sports Company and the Aspire Zone Foundation of Qatar, the marathon includes a series of running events of international standards.
It will be held in various governorates in the Sultanate of Oman, creating a platform for runners of all ages to adopt a more active and healthy lifestyle. It includes 10km, 6km and 2km races for all age groups and different levels of physical fitness.
Nizwa in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate will be the first stop for the marathon. It will be followed by the wilayat of Mudhaibi in the north of Al Sharqiyah on February 18, Sohar on February 25, Buraimi on March 11, Rustaq on March 18, Salalah on August 5, Ibri on October 21, Sur on November 4, Duqm on November 17 and Musandam on December 30.
