MUSCAT : ROHM’s House of Music Arts is making efforts to preserve and disseminate popular music from different generations by holding its annual ‘Folk Music Festival’.
Over the course of the two evenings, audience will be entertained by Omani folk groups that have a presence in local and Gulf events; the festival will be held outdoors at the Maidan Al Bahri, at 7 pm on January 26 and 27.
On the upcoming event, the ROHM website stated: ‘The importance of folk traditions and cultural heritage is universally recognised across the world and is promoted and preserved to inspire appreciation and curiosity across generations and borders. In the annual Folk Music Festival, nations are brought together to present their folk music traditions in a vivid display to create a feast for audiences over two nights.
