MUSCAT: At least one person died and dozens were injured after a stampede at Basra International Stadium before Gulf Cup final between hosts Iraq and Oman scheduled to take place on Thursday night.
Thousands of fans walked to the stadium on Thursday morning but were prevented from entering.
