MUSCAT : National television Oman TV’s sports channel has bagged the rights to broadcast the 25th Arabian Gulf Cup matches in the Sultanate which kicks-off in Iraqi city of Basra on Friday.
According to sources, the deal was cracked to broadcast the matches in Oman after hours of backdoor negotiations with the main broadcaster of the tournament.
Earlier in the day, popular TV personality Khalid Al Shukaili clarified that the company that owns the rights had asked for a whopping OMR 770,000 to telecast the matches.
