MUSCAT : Chaired by His Majesty the Sultan, the first cabinet meeting of 2023 was held on Tuesday, attended by the members of the cabinet, in addition to the His Excellency Abdulsalam Al Murshidi, President of the Omani Investment Authority (OIA).
Although not considered a member of the Cabinet of Ministers, the President of the Omani Investment Authority (OIA) was present at the meeting in accordance with Royal Decree No. 34/2022 to reconfigure the Council of Ministers, which included the appointment of three new ministers, namely, the Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs, the Minister of Health, and the Minister of Energy and Minerals.
The head of the Omani Investment Authority holds the rank of Minister in accordance with Royal Decree No. 62/2020 issued on June 8, 2020.
