NEW YORK : Hollywood actor Jeremy Renner, best known for his role as Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, along with his Oscar-nominated roles in The Hurt Locker and The Town, was in critical but stable condition following a weather-related accident while plowing snow on Sunday. According to Renner’s spokesperson who spoke to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor’s family is with him and he is receiving excellent care.
The property owned by Renner above Lake Tahoe in the Sierra Nevada mountains was one among many hit by what people are calling the “blizzard of the century,” the winter storm on New Year’s Eve that saw 35,000 homes lose power. Renner had even posted about the weather conditions on Twitter along with a photo of a car buried in snow, saying “Lake Tahoe snowfall is no joke.”
