MUSCAT: Over 50 stranded people were rescued due to heavy rainfall in Muscat Governorate on Tuesday, the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority said.
Heavy rain on Tuesday morning triggered waterlogging of roads in many parts of Muscat, leading to traffic jams.
In a statement issued, CDAA said: “
30 communications were received by the Operations Center of the Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority due to the rain, and the rescue teams dealt with all the communications, and 51 people were rescued, without any injuries.”

In a statement issued, Oman Met indicated that the atmosphere of the Sultanate will continue to be affected by an air groove.
